Welcome!

We first opened our home to guests from around the world in 1985 as one of Washington's premier bed and breakfast homes. It has been a privilege and a pleasure to offer true hospitality to so many over the years.

Clarke first built our cedar and stone chalet on five wooded acres in 1970. When we decided to offer B&B we built a wing especially for our guests. This area includes two inviting guest rooms, each with French doors leading to the large roof garden, sitting rooms, and a semi-private bathroom.

We offer a warm environment with cedar walls, hand-hewn fir banisters, and a stone fireplace stoked with wood Clarke has cached each summer and fall. Your guest room is a special hide-a-way with a log bed, feather covers, and airy window dressings. A fresh hot breakfast is always served at 8:30AM and my perfected coffee is roasted in Maple Valley and ground fresh for you to saver.

Our home is etched into a century old forest with a natural wildlife pond attracting a remarkable count of birds, mammals, and amphibians. We are a Backyard Wildlife Sanctuary and from our perches, we invite you to delight in a Pacific Northwest moment you might just remember forever!

Maple Valley is 25 minutes due east of Sea-Tac Airport.
